Is CAN-TAP actually made in Canada, or is it assembled here from imported parts?
The acrylic blocks are cut, weighted, engraved, pre-programmed and assembled at the Port Colborne, Ontario shop. The NFC chip itself is a commodity silicon part (the same chip Apple, Samsung and Google use in their phones), sourced from the global supply. Everything a Canadian buyer interacts with — the stand, the engraving, the Google link programming, the packaging, the support line — happens on Canadian soil.
Will I pay Canadian duties or brokerage fees when I order CAN-TAP?
No. CAN-TAP ships domestically via Canada Post or domestic courier. There are no cross-border duties, no GST/HST applied as an import charge (GST/HST is already included in the CAD-listed price), and no customs brokerage fees. Contrast this with any US-based seller — including TAPro in Washington State — where the Canadian buyer pays duties, brokerage, and often additional GST/HST applied at the border.
Does CAN-TAP ship as fast as TAPro?
Faster, to every Canadian province. CAN-TAP ships from Port Colborne, Ontario. Southern Ontario deliveries land in 1–2 business days. Quebec, Maritimes, and Prairies are 2–4 days. British Columbia, Yukon, and Northwest Territories are 3–6 days. TAPro’s own Canadian page quotes 2–5 days to Toronto and 3–6 days to Halifax — before accounting for Canadian customs processing.
What happens if the NFC block fails after six months?
Send it back to the Ontario shop. A replacement is dispatched domestically. No US border forms, no courier drama. CAN-TAP carries lifetime hardware support because the manufacturer, the seller, and the support line are all the same Canadian business.
Is CAN-TAP a subscription?
No subscription. Ever. One-time purchase, $129 CAD for the Verified System, $399 CAD for the Enterprise Fleet. The hardware is yours, the directory listing is yours, the do-follow backlink is yours. No monthly fee, no per-tap charge, no dashboard paywall. TAPro is also one-time — both sellers get this right. The difference is everything around the one-time fee: duties, currency, directory inclusion, warranty path.
Can CAN-TAP do bulk or multi-location pricing like TAPro?
Yes. The Enterprise Fleet tier ($399 CAD) covers five locations — five pre-programmed blocks, ten Real Canadians window decals, and individual directory pages for every location. Beyond five locations, quote directly at info@can-tap-verified.com. Domestic freight included.
Why does CAN-TAP include a directory listing when TAPro doesn’t?
Because a single physical card that points to a Google review link is half of what small businesses need. The other half is a searchable Canadian web presence with a do-follow backlink. Directory pages strengthen the buyer’s own SEO — the same reason Yelp and HomeStars listings rank. CAN-TAP has 3,158 business profiles live; TAPro has a product catalogue and zero directory.
What about TAPiTAG (the Irish brand)?
Same core concern at greater distance. TAPiTAG ships from Athlone, Ireland — every Canadian order crosses the Atlantic, pays Canadian duties on arrival, and waits a week. Their Canadian landing page lists prices in euros translated to CAD. For a Canadian operator, the question isn’t CAN-TAP vs TAPiTAG, it’s whether the buyer wants domestic hardware support at all.
